The moral science teacher held up a glass of water and asked: *Students, how much does this glass weigh?* Fifty grams. A hundred. *And what if I hold it for some more time?* Nothing — the same. *And for two more hours?* Your arms might ache. *And for a whole day?* — A childhood lesson Banooravi never forgot: about how the burden is not the weight, but the holding.
My moral science teacher was a very good teacher, and almost all of us liked her very much, as she was inculcating the good manners and positive thinking. Her inspirational approach was so good that motivated our attitude to achieve our goal.
**
One day the teacher had a glass of water and holding it up. She asked us: "Students — how much do you think the glass weighs?"
We said: "May be 50 ml or 100 ml."
"OK… my next question is — what if I hold it for some more time?"
We all laughed. "Oh, Teacher! Just holding it up for a while, what magic would happen? Nothing — and it would be the same!"
"OK, OK. Agreed. If I hold it up for two more hours?"
"Oh, Teacher! May be your arms would be paining, or you may feel a kind of ache in your hands."
"Yes, correct, correct. All you said is correct. What would happen if I hold it up for a whole day?"
All of us got exhausted to answer this question. "Oh God! Teacher, for sure, your arm would go to a sort of numbness — and you will have a muscle pain too!" I suddenly exclaimed, "Ha, Teacher! You may have to consult a doctor!" — the whole class went into laughter.
"Yes, children — you are all really good in answering. But I have to still ask you few more questions. By holding it, did the weight of the glass of water change? Increased?"
We all cheered, "No, no!"
"Then what could be the reason for my ache or pain, if the weight did not change?"
When the teacher asked, definitely we had no answer, and we started looking at each other — our eyebrows raised in anxiety!
The teacher asked further: "Students — think and answer me. What should I do now to come out of the pain?"
I as usual rushed to answer. "Very simple, Teacher. You don't have to hold it any more, and just put the glass down and let your hand be free." The whole class laughed again.
*
"Exactly!" the teacher proclaimed.
"If you think calmly, you will know that our life and the problems we undergo are just similar to this example. If you hold your worries, troubles or problems for a short while, it's OK. If you hold for little longer, it begins to ache; if you hold it for more longer, then certainly you would get paralysed or panicked. Every problem has a solution — and you have to be brave enough to face the challenges and use your brain to get rid of it. When you cannot arrive at a decision, give it a time and put them down at the end of the day until you resolve it. Because holding it would cause a dangerous situation — and the most important thing is, if you are burden-free, you can find a solution at the end. Be firm and positive, and always give a loud thinking to get rid of your problems without holding it for a longer time!"

The teacher well said. As I was growing up, whenever the problems arose, I always think about my teacher's advice and keep my mind at peace and calm until I find a solution.
